I would suggest making the extensions 3 layers thick, as this will give you the very best blend with your natural hair. If you sew as follows you will find that there are less pieces to put in your hair, and it will make them easier to put in.

First cut the hair to the widths that you need them to be;

I would recommend the following for an average size head;

3 x 6" wide pieces for going from ear to ear at the back of the head

3 x snap clips sewn on the top of the weft

Sew 3 x 6" wide pieces together along the top of the weft, (sewing one piece at a time)making sure that you don't put them exactly together at the top as this will cause the extensions to be bulky when they are in the hair.

Sew a snap clip at each end and one in the middle of the extension.

Your 6" wide extension is now ready to wear

Next cut;

3 x 13" wide pieces, for clipping in from temple to temple, making sure that you don't go too close to the hairline.

7 x snap clips sewn at the top of the weft

Sew together in the same way as you did with the 6" wide piece.

Sew the snap clips at 2" intervals, making sure that you have a clip at each end. Congratulations!!

Your full head of clip in extensions are now ready to wear!!

you have to sew them onto the tracs. there should be lil holes in the clips and basically jus sew through them. make sure you sew them on the right way or they wont be able to clip! but its not very hard. if your havin problems someone at sallys should be able to help you. you might wanna go buy some extention thread though because it is thicker than just regular thread so they will hold up a lot better. Good Luck!!
