What to do with my "baby hair"!???

Okay, so, I've got these "baby hairs" at the sides of my hair (right on top of my ears) and they are soooo annoying because no matter what I do, they won't freakin' STAY DOWN!!!!!

I've tried putting bobby pins and clips to keep them down but it looks soo weird!!! And plus, they're about 4 inches long so when I tie my hair in a ponytail, they can't reach so they're just like hanging there from my scalp and they make me look like I have horns!!! AAAARRGHHH!!! But I imagine myself not having "baby hairs" when I keep my hair pony tailed, and I look pretty!!!

They're the ONLY things that make me look ugly !! I HATE MY BABY HAIR!!! I am soo annoyed with them!!

Does anyone at all have a solution to my problem??!!

THANKS!! :)

I'D BE EVER SO GRATEFUL!

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

Well depending on how far up they are you could shave them off or use those flat snap clips, the kind you bend and they open with kind of a snap and push them the other way and they close. They lay flat on the head and come in many colors sizes and styles. Take care.

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

Cut them?

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

.I spray a little bit of hair spray and slick them down with a fine toothed comb. Seems to work for me and it they stay down all day

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

have you tried straightening them? then you could cut bangs and even it all out.

those baby hair things are most likely because you tie your hair up when its wet into a ponytail and it breaks and damages the hair. condition well and you could get rid of them all together

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

forget them there are many more important issues than what u think

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

Quit being so self critical. I'm sure you look fine.

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

try dampening your hair and tying a scarf on your hed at night when you sleep. Maybe by doing this you can train your hair to lay in a different direction. and then apply the gel or hair putty on them when you style your hair in the morning.

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

yup, don't cut them coz they will grow naturally and become unnoticeable...i observed that there is a stage when these baby hairs grow but only for the meantime...just be patient...try using hair spray to level them with the rest of the hair.

What to do with my "baby hair"!???

hairspray it down

Would a hair stylist be frustrated with me if I don't give specific directions on what to do?

I want my hair short. Just out of my face, my eyes, everywhere. I don't want it hanging down (it's like this right now: http://www.wigsalon.com/img/full/savanna... ).

However, provided it looks nice, I don't care *how* my hair is cut, I just want it away. Would a hair stylist find it annoying for me to not tell her what I want specifically (just give a similar spiel like the one above) or would she be willing to take it in stride and do as she thinks best?

I would be going to Great Clips, if that matters any. I don't know if maybe they have some obligation to direct unsure people to their giant book of hair photographs and make someone choose.

Oh dear.

You are a brave woman.

I went to great clips and spent 10$ to cut my own hair. The hair dresser had no concept of how to use the thinning scissors. Our visit essentially went like this:

me: Don't worry about the length. Could you just thin out my hair, much like it's layered now? My hair is really thick, so I just want the bulk gone.

her: I don't know how your layers are cut

me: Here pass me the thinning scissors. So you just take a chunk of hair and snip (as I'm showing her with my own hair). Don't worry, just try that on my hair. My hair is super thick, so it doesn't really matter if you mess up.

I'm serious.

I would bring in a photo that gives the stylist some direction. Show up 20 minute early for your appointment and browse through the books. Especially if your stylist is a little inexperienced, some sort of guidance will help her. She's not a mind-reader. If you say, don't make it ugly, but cut all the hair off my face, you're leaving a lot of room for "creativity". Even if you could find a picture that gives a rough idea of what you like. You can show her a photo and tell her what you like about it, and she should be able to help you further.

It's just a lot easier on the stylist if you have a picture. They won't force you to pick a picture out, it's just recommended.

BTW: my hair turned out great! Even if it was me doing the cutting. I'm actually going to return to Great Clips, you honestly cannot argue with the price - especially if you just want a trim.

Would a hair stylist be frustrated with me if I don't give specific directions on what to do?

Going to a place like that there is a better chance that they will be frustrated without more specific detail. When I used to go places like that and not know what I wanted i could usually look at who was working and get a good idea of who I wanted to cut my hair by observing them with other clients. It is going to differ between hairstylists whether or not they will take it in stride. Having a picture, or even several pictures of ideas you like is best to make both you and your stylist feel better about your cut. Ultimately you will be happier. It's doubtful that they will take the books and force you to chose. But if you give them an idea and let them do whatever they want you aren't allowed to get upset if you hate it! :)

If you're really brave you can ask her to cut it in a way that she thinks is flattering for you, but to tell you the truth, I wouldn't trust anyone to do just whatever they want no matter what salon I'm in! I think you should go look through some hair magazines to find a haircut you like %26amp; then bring the pic. Afterall, you %26amp; her may not have the same taste or idea of what would flattering!

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

I prefer clipping my bangs back haha. My bangs bother me too much and I look better when they are pulled back heh.

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

depends, at work i like them pulled back so i can focus on what i'm doing, but at night or weekends, i like to wear my hair down

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

My hair is REALLY long so its usually pulled back at home and i let it down when I'm out.

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

Right now Dragon had to resort to a rubber band to get her hair out of her face. It isn't qwite long enough to pull back, but not short enough to stay out of the way. grrr...

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

i let them hang, pushed over to one side

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

My bangs are pretty long,I keep them back in a pony tail.

Do you prefer having your bangs let loose or pulled back with a hair clip?

My hair is all one length, so I just tuck mine behind my ear (does that count as bangs, I'm not sure) ?????

Boyfriend's mother's wedding, how should I do my hair?

I am going to my boyfriend's mother's wedding tomorrow, and have no clue how to do my hair. In the front my hair is just above chin length, and bangs which are about the same length, then in the back it's cut shorter for spiking. I normally wear my hair down, nothing special, or I'll put a little hair clip in on the side. My mom said I should just get a fancier clip and wear that. The dress I am wearing is a very dark brown with white polka dots and lace trim.

(My boyfriend has like half-mohawk that he combs over to one side, and that's how he'll be wearing it for the wedding, if that helps at all..)

Any help at all is much appreciated. =]

Boyfriend's mother's wedding, how should I do my hair?

I think your Moms suggestion is a great one, you may be able to find something that is a bit dressy for a clip with some of the coloring of your dress and that would look great.

I hope that your boyfriends Mom and her new husband have a long, happy and blessed marriage. Have fun, your dress sounds beautiful and very classy.

I would go with what your mom said if I was you.
